Becky Thomas | Owner
Becky has been involved in all aspects of the thoroughbred industry for over 30 years and as a result has accumulated an incredible wealth of knowledge regarding the breeding, training and sales of thoroughbred racehorses. In 2001, Becky relocated Sequel’s breeding and stallion operation to New York’s Hudson River Valley, to establish New York’s Premier Stallion Roster and breeding operation. Over two decades later, Becky’s goal for Sequel New York remains unchanged, to be measured amongst the best farms in the country and produce a racehorse that can excel in the sales ring as well as the racetrack.
Becky also owns and operates Sequel at Winding Oaks in Ocala, Florida. There, she will oversee the development and training of nearly 120 horses annually. Becky is widely known for her expertise as a pinhooker and ability to train young horses.

Carlos Manresa | Director Of Operations
A native Floridian, Carlos’ experience with thoroughbreds began at an early age consisting of several internships at Sequel New York as well as Sequel Bloodstock. Today, Carlos is directly involved with all aspects of Sequel New York’s operation from stallion acquisition to matings and sales. Additionally, Carlos manages Sequel’s prominent training division, Sequel at Winding Oaks, located in Ocala, Florida. The fully restored, 240-acre training center houses over 200 racehorses training across the 1 mile dirt racetrack and the 7/8 mile turf course.

Paige Gilster | Sales Nominations
Growing up in Minnesota, Paige enjoyed going to races at Canterbury Park but did not become fully immersed into the Thoroughbred industry until she began her college career at Iowa State University. While still a student, Paige bought a broodmare and made her maiden voyage to Lexington, Kentucky. After graduation, Paige quickly returned to Lexington to accept admission into the Kentucky Equine Management Internship (KEMI). Since completing her post-graduate work, Paige has acquired a multitude of experience working with Thoroughbred industry leaders such as Rood and Riddle, Taylor Made Farm and Timber Town. Paige also has the distinction of breeding Kentucky Derby contender, Finnick The Fierce. Her hands-on experience with horses of all ages, at the sales and within an office setting make her a great addition to the Sequel team.
